I have gambled on millions of rounds of blackjack. I began working my way into the gambling halls when I was 16. I have wagered on online blackjack, I have counted cards, and worked with a team for a short while. With all that said I have still spent all kinds of money at blackjack. The casinos have made it very hard to defeat the house.
I still like the game and gamble on a frequent basis. Over the years I have played a variation of vingt-et-un called "The Take it Leave it Method". You certainly won’t get rich with this tactic or beat the casino, however you will experience a lot of fun. This tactic is founded on the idea that 21 appears to be a game of runs. When you are on fire your on fire, and when you’re not you’re NOT!
I wager with basic strategy twenty-one. When I lose I wager the lowest amount allowed on the successive hand. If I do not win again I bet the lowest amount allowed on the subsequent hand again etc. Whenever I win I take the winnings paid to me and I wager the original bet again. If I win this hand I then leave the winnings paid to me and now have double my original wager on the table. If I win again I take the payout paid to me, and if I succeed the next hand I leave it for a total of 4 times my original bet. I continue betting this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I don’t win I lower the bet back down to the original amount.
I am very disciplined and never back out. It gets extremely enjoyable at times. If you succeed at a few hands in series your wagers go up very fast. Before you realize it you are wagering $100-200/ hand. I have had awesome runs a number of times now. I departed a $5 table at the Luxor a number of years ago with $750 after 20 minutes using this technique! And a number of months ago in Sin City I left a table with $1200!
You have to understand that you can give up much faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more exciting. And you will be amazed at the streaks you see playing this way. Below is a chart of what you would wager if you continue winning at a five dollar game.
Wager $5
Take five dollar paid to you, leave the first 5 dollar wager
Bet $5
Leave five dollar paid to you for a total bet of ten dollar
Bet 10 dollar
Take $10 paid-out to you, leave the first 10 dollar wager
Bet 10 dollar
Leave ten dollar paid to you for a total bet of $20
Bet 20 dollar
Take twenty dollar paid-out to you, leave the first 20 dollar wager
Wager 20 dollar
Leave $20 paid to you for a total wager of 40 dollar
Bet forty dollar
Take $40 paid-out to you, leave the original 40 dollar wager
Bet 40 dollar
Leave forty dollar paid to you for a total wager of $80
Wager $80
Take eighty dollar paid to you, leave the original $80 wager
Bet 80 dollar
Leave $80 paid to you for a total wager of $160
Wager $160
Take $160 paid to you, leave the first 1 hundred and 60 dollar bet
If you departed at this instance you would be up $315 !!
It is iffy to go on a run this long, but it does happen. And when it does you can NOT alter and drop your bet or the end result won’t be the same.
