Blackjack is a game that somehow reminds me of a roller coaster. It’s a game that starts slowly, but gradually picks up the pace. As you build up your bank roll, you feel as though you are slowly getting to the top of the coaster and then when you are not expecting it, the bottom drops.
Blackjack is so akin to a rollercoaster the similarities are bizarre. As is the case with the popular amusement ride, your black jack game will peak and things will seemingly be going great for a time before it bottoms out once again. You have to be a bettor who’s able to adjust well to the ups and downs of the game given that the game of black jack is packed full of them.
If you like the small coaster, one that can’t go too high or fast, then bet small. If you find the only way that you can enjoy the ride is with a fatter wager, then jump on for the roller coaster ride of your life on the monster coaster. The high-stakes gambler will love the view from the monster rollercoaster because he or she is not mentally processing the drop as they rush headlong to the top of the game.
A win goal and a loss limit works well in black jack, but very few gamblers adhere to it. In black jack, if you "get on the rollercoaster" as it is going up, that is terrific, but when the cards "go south" and the coaster starts to toss and turn, you had better bail out in a hurry.
If you do not, you might not remember how much you enjoyed everything while your bankroll was "up". The only thing you will remember is a lot of uncertainties, a great ride … your head in the clouds. As you are remembering "what ifs", you won’t remember how "high up" you went but you will have memories of that disappointing drop as clear as day.
